The cannabis delivery service Emjay has just begun operating in Oakland, promising deliveries within an average of thirty minutes and at roughly the same prices as visiting a dispensary.
Emjay recently announced its acquisition of high-end Oakland-based cannabis delivery company Cannvis.
Company policy is to curate cannabis edibles and other products that Emjay insiders consider the highest quality in each city served — for example, those of Oakland chocolatier Défoncé — after ensuring that these items have been tested and quality-verified by experts. Emjay's current platform includes wares from such cannabis companies as Beboe, Bloom Farms, Kiva, and Sherbinski's.
“As a company in an emerging market, we are given the opportunity to shatter expectations and industry norms," said Miranda Lee, Emjay's VP of Operations and Brand.
Emjay has also just begun delivering in Los Angeles, having launched innovative partnerships with edible cannabis pastille maker Beboe and Beverly Hills luxury retail store Barney's New York.
"Partnering with an upscale cannabis brand like Beboe and providing fulfillment for a luxury retailer like Barney’s New York is a clear sign that Emjay and our community are moving in the right direction, bridging the gap between cannabis culture and the mainstream,” Lee said.
