Cocoa Puffs-Infused Negroni a Big Hit At Eat Drink SF

East Bayites Hangar 1, Trumer Pils, and Mr. Espresso were among dozens of presenters at the annual taste-a-thon.

The folks from Alameda's Hangar 1 Vodka were pouring cocktails at the Eat Drink SF taste-a-thon in Fort Mason on the last weekend in August.

Other East Bayites plying their trade at this star-studded food-topia included a team from Livermore Valley-based Wente vineyards, another from Berkeley's Trumer Pils, and another from Oakland's Mr. Espresso. 

Tickets for the annual event -- presented by the Golden Gate Restaurant Association and sponsored by dozens of familiar names including Stella Artois, Hawaiian Airlines and PG&E, were totally sold out this year. Here's a shot taken at the Saturday Afternoon Grand Tasting: 

Prepared by top restaurants and producers, hundreds of exquisite samples on offer in the Festival Pavilion included fresh figs stuffed with duck rillette:

... foie gras on toast:

... Irish coffee, prepared by the Buena Vista Café folks using Tullamore D.E.W. Irish whiskey:

... and even "Breakfast Negronis," infused with Cocoa Puffs! (Thank you, Wildhawk cocktail bar.)
