Oakland's Copper Spoon restaurant now hosts "Town Business Comedy Night" at 8 p.m. every Tuesday in its Golden State Lounge.

Produced by the comedy collective #HellaFunny — which has included such talents as Hannibal Buress, Jermaine Fowler, Mike E. Winfield, the Lucas Brothers, Kabir Singh, and others — is a weekly standup showcase featuring some of the Bay Area's most cutting-edge comedians.

A $10 cover charge at the door and a two-drink minimum are required for admission — although free tickets are available through Eventbrite within the last 24 hours before every show).

Copper Spoon's owners Vita Simone and Carmen Anderson redesigned a secondary dining room in the restaurant to create the bohemian-chic Golden State Lounge, furnished with cozy couches, a brick fireplace, and other warm features. Its bar-bites menu includes such items as salmon hand rolls, roasted cauliflower with fermented hot sauce, and lamb merguez burgers with tzatziki and kraut.
