MOTOWN: The Golden Age of American Soul 1960-1972

Jan 18, 2018 to Feb 22, 2018
07:00 PM until 09:00 PM

During the turbulent cultural era of the 1960s, the Motown sound defined American pop music. Legendary artists like Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Gladys Knight, The Jackson Five, Martha and the Vandellas, The Four Tops, The Supremes and The Temptations chronicled the decade and Detroit’s own Barry Gordy Jr., the label’s founder, was its creator and sole visionary.

Join us on six consecutive Thursdays, January 18 to February 22, 2018, for an illuminating evening with accomplished musician and storyteller Pete Elman who will explore the timeless music and everlasting magic of Motown — The Golden Age of American Soul 1960-1972.
