A Literary Migration
Books Inc. in Alameda coordinated African American Authors: A Literary Migration of Soul, Song and Story on Feb. 28. A grand finale to African American History month, it featured leading African American authors from around the Bay Area, including: Lisa Renee Johnson, author of Dangerous Consequences; Paulette Harper, Living Separate Lives; Jaqueline Luckett, In Search of Tina Turner; Renee Swindle, A Pinch of Ooh La La; and many more. Authors Cedric Brown, Mary Monroe, April Sinclair, Aliona Gibson, Saeeda Hafiz, and Lloyd Frances were also in attendance.
