Its new yogurts and sour-cream alternative are vegan, kosher, and GMO-free.

Hayward-based Kite Hill has just launched two new innovative additions to its line of plant-based, dairy-free edibles.

The first is Kite Hill Blissful — a line of thick and creamy coconut milk-based yogurts.

The second is Kite Hill Sour Cream Alternative — a line of plant-based sour “cream” made with coconut milk and almond milk.

“Demand for variety, superior taste, and simple ingredients in the non-dairy plant-based market continues to accelerate as consumers actively seek food options that they can feel great about,” said Kite Hill’s senior vice president of marketing Shannon Toyos.

“We are constantly looking for ways to surprise and delight our current and future consumers with tasty artisanal plant-based foods and the launch of our two new product platforms together represent the largest single slate of innovation in the company’s history,” Toyos said in a press release.

The kosher, vegan, soy-free, non-GMO Blissful yogurt line aims for an indulgent profile with intense creaminess and trendy flavors such as Café Macchiato, Decadent Vanilla Bean, Blueberry Limoncello, Salted Caramel, and Peaches and Crème.

Ingredients of the Blueberry Limoncello flavor, for example, include blueberries, cane sugar, pectin, lemon zest, live active cultures, modified tapioca starch, black carrot juice, and more.
