La Marca Prosecco Launches "Celebreaks" Campaign

Actor Rachel Bilson partnered with the Hayward company to promote the project.

To mark National Prosecco Day, La Marca Prosecco — whose American branch, La Marca USA, is based in Hayward — is teaming up with actor Rachel Bilson to launch "Celebreaks," a campaign that invites consumers to pause now and then and celebrate their small victories ... and share the results on Instagram.

As a bright sparkling wine with floral aromas, prosecco is perfect for such pauses.

The Celebreaks campaign, launched on August 13, gives participants a chance to win an exclusive Fashion Week experience in New York City, including a special brunch hosted by Vogue magazine.

It was inspired by a survey conducted by La Marca Prosecco which found that 61 percent of surveyed females feel unappreciated, 86 percent experience stress daily, 31 percent "can't remember the last time they rewarded or celebrated themselves when they were proud of something," and 22 percent "could not even remember the last time they felt proud of themselves at all," according to a press release.

"At La Marca Prosecco, we believe that small wins and everyday achievements are just as worthy of a special toast as a big milestone," said La Marca Prosecco marketing director Joyce Chen.

"We were surprised our recent survey revealed how many people don't take time to regularly acknowledge their accomplishments, despite evidence that it makes them happier when they do. La Marca has always believed in spreading contagious joy, so we're pleased to launch the Celebreaks campaign to encourage individuals everywhere to start celebrating the little things in life," Chen said.

Anyone can participate by posting their own Celebreak on Instagram using the hashtags #LaMarcaCelebreaks and #sweepstakes and tagging @LaMarcaProsecco.

"As a single working mother, [I know that] in fact for many women, it can be challenging to make time for ourselves and acknowledge our small everyday successes," said Bilson, a mlutiple Teen Choice Award-winner best known for her recurrent role in The O.C.

"I'm excited to partner with La Marca Prosecco to bring their Celebreaks movement to life and encourage people everywhere to raise a glass to their own wins – myself included," Bilson said.

Founded fifty years ago in Italy, La Marca is a cooperative representing 5,000 local winegrowers who cultivate over 17,000 acres in the northern region near Venice and Treviso.
