LETTER

Fogarty Fan

I just wanted to share my delight at reading the article, “Arts Advocate,” on the new Oakland Museum of California director, Lori Fogarty [January/February]. It was interesting to learn about her background and her dreams and plans for the museum. With both the upcoming renovation and her direction, I am excited about the future of our wonderful jewel. Gina Fawal Jaber’s article was informative and concise (short and sweet is much appreciated). Please continue keeping us informed about the happenings at the museum.

Pelago Fan

I was shocked when I didn’t see Pelago in Montclair highlighted as one of Oakland’s finest gift shops in the December issue [Retail Therapy’s “Present Primer.”] The two owners do a fabulous job of offering a wide range of quality gifts for very reasonable prices. They gift-wrap for free, and you can always find something for anyone.
Claire Stephens, Crocker Highlands

Clarifications

Socca Oven and Dom Petroff Caviar are no longer operating in the Epicurious Garden, as reported in the March/April issue. New to Epicurious Garden is Picoso Taqueria, and Kitchen on Fire has expanded, taking over the management of Taste restaurant.
