Spiffy bamboo screens and barstools, soft lighting and tablecloths give Addis, just north of Temescal, an upscale feel, but this is inexpensive Ethiopian comfort food best served and enjoyed family-style. Rip off a small piece of injera and scoop up berbere-laced or mitmita-infused meat and vegetables. The kitfo is often touted, and the vegetarian combination makes a good sampler of Addis specialties.
