This lovely, tastefully attired and upscale Cambodian bistro brings a touch of class to Park Street, Southeast Asian style. Ricky Doh, a veteran of Oakland’s Phom Penh House, is the owner/operator behind this restaurant and delivers the real deal to the Island City. The repast here ranges from appetizers such as refreshing, spicy papaya salad; fresh, mint-studded spring rolls and coconut milk–rick prahok katis to lemongrass-laden and tamarind-laced soups and savory-sauced, piquant-spiced lamb, beef, pork, chicken and seafood dishes. Curry, noodles and vegetarian offerings round out the menu. No special lunch prices, so — at least for now — Angkor Grills seems to be one local contender steering clear of the oncoing contest for the high school student crowd. Definitely elegant enough for a romantic dinner. Serves lunch and dinner daily.
