One of Oakland’s most elegant and consistently rewarding dining options, this Piedmont Avenue favorite boasts an ever-changing, always-inspired, small menu, on which a dazzling duck preparation is always featured. The tender rack of lamb and pistachio-topped sea bass delighted our taste buds, but choosing a dessert was an exercise in futility—thanks to each delectable-sounding option. The warm apple-walnut tart was perfectly executed, as was each step of the meal, a Bay Wolf standard. Dinner nightly.
