Essential Information
2319 Central Ave
Alameda, CA
510-865-3032
Hamburgers go gourmet at the latest BurgerMeister outlet in Alameda’s bustling theater district. The patty powerhouse traces origins to Carl Street in S.F.’s Cole Valley and wins awards from everybody for its juicy, grilled-to-order, two-fisted burgers prepared from Niman Ranch beef. The MeisterBurger is the signature burger and comes dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles—a hearty sandwich. Select beef, turkey, vegan or vegetarian patties; then pick toppings and sides. Milkshakes, malts and floats on the menu add to the experience. Be careful: Everything, from mixing and matching (permitted) to toppings and sides (chili con carne and avocado among them), comes at a price, so burgers can cost close to $15. Not that you’ll much mind when you’re lounging on the sunny patio with a cold one accompanying. Lunch and dinner daily.
