All traces of Your Black Muslim Bakery have been erased, replaced with a carmine-walled, living room–like stylish wine bar with killer salads, delicious panini and the cutest patio ever. The menu is decidedly simple, from a select number of small plates (a cheese and fruit plate; pâté with olives, cornichons and crostini; three types of bruschetta) to well-thought cheese-kissed salads (try the Napa or the Paso Robles) and vegetarian or meat panini. The roasted turkey, spinach, chipotle aioli and fontina grilled panini (a real bargain at $7, which also includes a salad), left this customer swooning, as did the two delicious desserts, a chocolate mousse and brownie. The wine list mixes notable California varietals with interesting samples from Argentina and New Zealand to France and Spain, creating a nice addition to the burgeoning Temescal scene. Dinner daily.
