Essential Information

This Grand Lake eatery offers traditional favorites and unique vegetarian creations served in a truly family-run restaurant. Yes, Neecha’s mother has run the San Francisco restaurant with the same name since 1988, the dishes are inspired by Neecha’s vegetarian grandmother, cousin Veerakeat designed the interior and that’s big brother Arnold behind the counter. All the hard work pays off as Neecha serves up tasty and well-spiced dishes like nua pad prik, stir-fried beef cooked with bamboo shoots, Thai basil, onions and red bell peppers in a chili paste, or kang faktong, red curry and chicken (or shrimp for an additional $2) with kabocha squash, Thai basil and red bell peppers. Look for specials that, on our visit, included saffron scallops, garlic short ribs and soft-shell crab as well as unique gluten-based vegetarian dishes. Lunch and dinner daily.
