A tiny little Piedmont Avenue prize of a restaurant, Ninna is a quaint spot for noshing with the girls or a quiet night out with the hubby. Those with hearty appetites might think the portions a bit chintzy for the price, though helpings are ample enough for delicate eaters: A starter of rich spinach-cheese ravioli with zesty spiced red curry sauce served well as an entree, leaving room for a memorable rendition of beautifully presented bananas Foster. Fresh-grilled salmon topped with Parmesan pesto and oven-braised lamb shank in stock flavored with onion, kaffir lime leaf, lemongrass and tomato—a standard of executive chef Ponnarong Nimerarmon—were also well received, as was the attentive service offered on a slow weeknight.
