Just because it’s a chain (with 133 locations nationwide) doesn’t mean P.F. Chang’s can’t be really good, as local diners have discovered. The wait on weekends can be quite long, but so far, that doesn’t seem to be much of a deterrent at the Bay Street Emeryville location. The attraction is simple: The food tastes great, the service is fast and the location is richly decorated, complete with two large warhorses guarding the front door. Must-tries include Chang’s chicken lettuce wraps, spicy Ma Po Tofu and hot and sour soup. Plenty of beer, wine and cocktail choices round out the experience. Lunch and dinner daily.
