Pasta Pelican
Categories:
Essential Information
2455 Mariner Square Drive.
Alameda, CA
510-864-7427
The water view is the thing at Pasta Pelican, a spread-out, two-story shingled restaurant overlooking the Estuary and a popular Mariner Square destination. The focus here is on pasta, and puttanesca, azzuro delizia and ravioli di formggio are solid choices, but the star of our recent lunch was the bruschetta and the delicate pesto that tops it. Newbies take note: That plate of garlic and Parmesan that greets you is for dipping—mix it up with olive oil and a just a touch of balsamic vinegar and then dig in. We’ve previously praised the lobster ravioli and desserts, but the he-man-sized pasta dishes won’t leave you much room. Lunch and dinner daily.
