nyone still mourning the loss of Kelly’s on Park Street should check out its replacement, the Hobnob. With its casual living-room vibe, you’ll see big groups and families playing Connect Four or Scrabble, first-daters in a cozy corner and solo folks up at the bar watching a game on the big-screen TV. Nosh on terrific American tapas like mini-burgers and fries tossed with Parmesan and herbs with a side of truffle aioli. Mini-corn dogs get an interesting twist with house-made Italian sausage. The meaty Cuban sandwich does not disappoint. Try the salty peanut brownie for dessert. House specialty drinks like the Cucito (a cucumber mojito) and the citrusy Sweet Tart make the food go down that much easier. Service is easygoing and friendly. Dinner nightly, late-night menu Fri.–Sat., brunch Sat.–Sun.
