With its exposed-brick walls and wooden tables, the cozy dining room at Venus has a charming, cafe-like atmosphere. Better known for her fantastic breakfasts (omelets, scrambles, flapjacks, Belgian waffles), chef Amy Murray makes her dinner menu deserving of a look, too. She uses local organic ingredients to create seasonal dishes like braised beef over hand-made pappardelle noodles, chestnut gnocchi and tender lamb shank (both perfect winter comfort food), local salmon with farmers market vegetables, and grilled chicken with peach salad. Breakfast and lunch Mon.–Fri., brunch Sat.–Sun., dinner Tue.–Sun. (Reservations for dinner or 6 or more at lunch.)
