Enoteca Mediterraneo is the sort of wine bar many folks want in their neighborhood — a relaxing and warm place, equally suitable for reading a book at the bar with a $7 glass of red or slowly feasting for hours with friends. The eclectic menu takes inspiration from Spain, Greece, and Morocco, as well as owner Jamshied Basseri’s heritage as a Persian Jew from Iran. Basseri, who was also behind the short-lived Middle Eastern deli and market Saffron Gourmet, will likely be your server, sommelier, and chef. Fittingly, it’s his charming personality that imbues the entire dining experience at the colorful wine bar. Dinner served Wed.-Sun.
