Head to this College Avenue mainstay when the mood for Italian comfort food hits. The inside is quaint and intimate, and the outside heated patio is the perfect sport for canoodling over espresso with a beau or having a serious chitchat with a best friend over Viognier. The bietole salad puts goat cheese with roasted beets, pine nuts, and mixed greens and serves as a fabulous starter and is only bettered by the spinach pancetta salad starring caramelized onions, pine nuts, goat cheese, and pancetta atop baby spinach. The raviol di zucca of butternut squash ravioli, sage, and brown butter had a bit of an unpleasant bitterness, but the eggplant lasagna of pasta, eggplant, ricotta, butternut squash, and mozzarella with marinara sauce was perfection. And we can say the same the same of the tiramisu, lush ladyfingers soaked in espresso amid layers of mascarpone and cocoa. A very delightful experience. Serves lunch and dinner daily.
