Attitudinal Healing Connections What Women Can Do
Attitudinal Healing Connection Inc. celebrated International Women’s Month, presenting “What Women Can Do & How Men Can Help” on March 6 at the Historic Sweet’s Ballroom. The event, which drew more than 400 attendees, was a fund-raiser for Art Esteem, an arts education program in Bay Area schools. The event featured a lecture and discussion by author and spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson, along with several musical and dramatic performances by students in the program. Piedmont East Bay Childrens Choir Fund-raiser 2010
“Folksongs from Around the World” was the theme for the Piedmont East Bay Children’s Choir’s annual fund-raiser, which was held on March 19 at the Albert H. DeWitt Officer’s Club in Alameda. More than 250 people attended the event, which included a silent auction, live auction, raffle, hors d’oeuvres and dessert. The evening was punctuated by several performances of the Children’s Choir, which is comprised of 4-18 year-olds from schools all around the East Bay. piedmontchoirs.org
Saint Vincent Day Home Childrens Choice Awards
The theme was Mardi Gras as Saint Vincent Day Home celebrated its annual Children’s Choice Awards. More than 200 people attended the event, which took place on March 5 at Scott’s Seafood Restaurant. The evening’s activities included dinner and an awards ceremony and was staffed by volunteers from the organization. Proceeds from the event will benefit the children at the Day Home, which provides education and other services for children and their families who are living below the poverty line. Svdh.org
