Bishop O Dowd Crab and Pasta Feed

Close to 650 people attended Bishop O’Dowd’s Annual Crab and Pasta Feed on Feb. 5 at the Oakland school. The event, which benefitted their athletic teams, included a crab and pasta dinner, a silent auction and dancing to DJ Starr Saunders, a teacher at the school. www.bishopodowd.org

Family Justice Center Annual Gala

More than 310 guests attended the 4th Annual Benefit Gala for the Alameda County Family Justice Center, which took place on Jan. 29 at the Rotunda in downtown Oakland. The event included a raffle, silent and live auctions and several musical performances. Proceeds from the gala will directly benefit the center, which provides counseling, medical and legal services to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. www.acfjc.org

Donkey & Goat Spring Release Party

Berkeley’s Gather Restaurant partnered with local vintner Donkey & Goat winery for the urban winemaker’s spring release party on March 5 where five new wines debuted.
