Want to Rent Michael Pollan's House?
The famous Berkeley food author is putting it up for lease later this year.
Foodies now have yet another way of living their culinary dreams.
Renowned author, UC Berkeley professor, and food expert Michael Pollan has listed his North Berkeley home for lease later this year — at $6,500 per month.
Pollan's many best-selling books include The Omnivore's Dilemma and The Botany of Desire. His diverse awards include a James Beard Leadership Award and a Genesis Award from the Humane Society of the United States.
As reported at Realtor.com, the four-bedroom/four-bathroom remodeled vintage house will be available from Aug. 30 through Dec. 30, and offers "spectacular bay and S.F. views" and "plenty of areas to cook," as well as a paved patio, fire pit, and "edible garden in the backyard," accessed via large French doors.
The home's listing description notes: “Great success and creativity has been achieved here.” (Hate to be the Annoying Editor from Hell, but — given that the verb modifies not one but two nouns — shouldn't it be "have been achieved," not "has"?)
