Wente Vineyards Launches New Eat/Drink Space

The Livermore Valley restaurant will serve organic, locally sourced fare — and, of course, wine.

Wente Vineyards has just announced the opening of its new wine-and-food concept, the Vineyard Table & Tasting Lounge.

Set to launch on June 29, replacing a former restaurant, the revamped space on Livermore's Arroyo Road boasts a wine lounge with flexible seating areas that allow guests to sample diverse dining-and-drinking options.

Its menu features shareable plates of various sizes meant to pair perfectly with Wente Vineyards' own East Bay-grown wines. Many ingredients are sourced from the vineyards' estate beef program and organic garden, as well as from nearby farms. 

Menu items include seafood risotto; ahi tuna poke; grilled hanger steak; whole roasted cauliflower with chimichurri; comté cheese tempura; strawberry shortcake, and more.

“We put a lot of energy into growing our grapes and producing our wines, and we wanted to put that same passion into the Vineyard Table & Tasting Lounge”, said fifth-generation winegrower and viticulturist Niki Wente. 

“With the transformation of the restaurant, we wanted to update the overall food and wine experience for guests, elevating the way guests enjoy our wines and farm to table fare," Wente said.

Founded in 1883, Wente Vineyards is the nation's oldest continuously operated, family-owned winery.
