Madam C.J. Walker Awards Luncheon
The National Coalition of 100 Black Women Inc. honored four outstanding women at the ninth annual Madame C.J. Walker awards luncheon held April 9 at The San Francisco Marriott. Madame C.J. Walker was an early African American woman entrepreneur, self-made millionaire, business leader and philanthropist. The annual luncheon was created to recognize and celebrate women exhibiting similar qualities. Congresswoman Barbara Lee won the award for advocacy, Cheryl L.
