For nearly two decades, Waste Management has been tapping a clean, renewable energy resource from our own landfills. Today, our Altamont Landfill in Livermore generates enough energy to power 8,000 Bay Area homes.

   Our Davis Street Transfer Station and Material Recovery Facility is responsible for diverting 1300 tons per day of waste from our local landfills, and sorts 400 tons a day of construction and demolition debris. It is home to one of the most technologically advanced single stream recycling programs in the Country, processing 400 tons of commingled recyclables per day.
