The Emeryville Public Market is the opposite of the American food court and a virtual United Nations of food. Instead of the food being an afterthought to the stores, the food is the big attraction here. Cuisine choices include Thai, Mexican, barbecue, Vietnamese, Afghan, burgers, crêpes, Philly cheese steaks and a Chinese place that also sells fish and chips. Pamir (try the chickpea curry), Wazwan Indian Cuisine (sample the chana masala), California Vietnamese Cuisine and Jamaica Place (really great ginger beer and a sorrel-based drink) are memorable. Beer and wine services vary, as does credit card acceptance. Breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
