Essential Information

755 San Pablo Ave.
Albany, CA

510-526-9700

The San Pablo Avenue restaurant channels Tuscany with Mediterranean decor and tasty pasta dishes. Seafood lovers should try the Linguine di Mare—mussels, salmon, prawns and scallops on a bed of pasta, smothered in a lemon white wine cream sauce or a simple tomato sauce. Another favorite is the Penne alla Norma, pasta tubes mixed with Italian sausage, eggplant, mushrooms and roasted garlic. But before diving into a bowl of pasta, consider warming up with some greens. A good Caesar salad is hard to find, and the one here is delicious—large pieces of romaine topped with a rich dressing, freshly grated Parmesan, croutons and black olives with a few anchovies on the side for good measure. Your waiter will come by midway through the entree to see if you’re interested in the chocolate soufflé, a mound of fudgy goodness that takes 10-15 minutes to prepare. If you have left any room at all—even for a few bites—say yes! Dinner Tue.-Sun.
