Exposed ducts, pipes and rough wooden beams run overhead, and a couple of ceiling fans hang from the peaked two-story-high ceiling; huge painted sketches lean against the back wall; video and slides are projected on the thickly slathered white concrete wall. If that sounds eclectic enough, wait until you see the dinner and cocktail menus in this Uptown spin-off of the popular Soizic in the Jack London Square nabe. There’s the tempura-fried, nori-wrapped ahi tuna sashimi, a cheese plate with fig cake and tapas-size servings of sautéed zucchini, cornbread and mung bean–kimchi pancake. Main courses include short ribs with baby bok choy, free-range fried chicken and a vegan platter with a chickpea-bulgur-quinoa-walnut patty, kale stew and more, as well as “The Hamburger” and a haystack of thin-cut fries that stay crisp till the end. Serves lunch Mon.-Sat., dinner daily.
