The Oakland East Bay Symphony held its annual evening of dining, dancing, entertainment and auctions benefiting its many education and outreach programs June 2 at the Claremont Resort & Spa. More than 300 people, including Mayor Ron Dellums, opera great Frederica von Stade and KRON-TV anchor Pam Moore, came to the sold-out event and helped raise more than $200,000 to benefit OEBS programs providing instrumental musical instruction to more than 25,000 children a year. www.oebs.org.
