Frederica von Stade Sings

Opera great and mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade sings for the fourth year at Oakland's City Center tomorrow. Shorenstein's City Center in Oakland presents another outstanding concert in its October series. All concerts are from 12 p.m.–1 p.m. at 12th Street and Broadway (near BART) in Oakland. The concert series at City Center are sponsored by Shorenstein, the merchants at City Center, Clear Channel Outdoor and Oakland Magazine. The concert is a benefit for the Sophia Project, cash donations and disposable diapers and baby wipes will be collected on behalf of the Sophia Project which serves children and families who are at risk of recurring homelessness and its effects.
