Quarterback JaMarcus Russell signed a contract with the Oakland Raiders last week and joined his teammates at practice for the first time since June, the Oakland Tribune reported Thursday. He agreed to a six-year contract Tuesday that guarantees him approximately $31 million, flew to Oakland later that day and rejoined the team after missing 48 days of practices and meetings, four exhibition games and Oakland's regular-season opener Sunday. Russell was the first overall pick in the NFL draft April 28. Click to read when Russell may play, or click here to read our feature story by Marcus Thompson II.
