Texas Is the Reason imploded at a time when they were being touted as the “next big thing” in the wake of the punk explosion on MTV. Though Texas Is The Reason disbanded at their peak, their legacy endured, influencing countless bands from Into It, Over It to Coheed and Cambria. They have only played a handful of reunion shows but they are still revered as one of the cornerstones of the ’90s emo movement and remain very influential in modern emo.
