Ferry Fest 2022: Free Ferry Ride to Visit the Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park on the Richmond Waterfront

Join San Francisco Bay Ferry for Ferry Fest – a day of family fun, delicious food and exciting activities to celebrate the Richmond community and service across the Bay. Attendance is free and all are welcome. Attractions at the outdoor festival include free ferry rides around the bay, a free visit to the Rosie the Riveter National Historical Park Visitor Center, food trucks, local vendors, live music, raffles, giveaways and much more!

The Rosie the Riveter visitor center is devoted to telling the fascinating story of the shipbuilding era during WWII, which opened the door to many women and people of color who entered the workforce for the first time. Explore the exhibits and films that honor their efforts and sacrifices and learn the story about how ordinary Americans including Rosie the Riveters and Wendy the Welders built 747 ships at the Richmond Kaiser Shipyards – more ships than any other shipyard. One liberty ship, the Robert E. Peary, was assembled in 5 days!

The event will be held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Richmond ferry terminal located at 1453 Harbour Way, and registration is encouraged. Bring the family and join us for a fun-filled day on the waterfront. Your ferry awaits!

Ferry Fest is sponsored by the Water Emergency Transportation Authority (WETA), the regional public agency that operates San Francisco Bay Ferry, in partnership with the Craneway Pavilion, Richmond Promise, Columbia Sportswear and Rosie the Riveter Trust.
